The following article appeared in my local newspaper, The Valley News Dispatch, in the August 5, 2004 edition.
Notes: There are a few mistakes in the above article. First, I train in Leechburg, PA, but I do not live there. Second, the full name of where I was training is Iron Pit Gym. Third, Shamokin Dam is in northeastern PA, nowhere near Lancaster, which is in south-central PA. And finally, the description of the bench press is backwards. But even with these errors, overall, I was happy with the article. I think it summarized my background and the contest rather well.
